Nature’s Paintbrushes

Our next activity is a ‘Make It!’ one and we will need to go on a little hunt around the garden or park to collect twigs, leaves and feathers to make our own nature paintbrushes!You will need:PaperPaintSticky TapeA selection of leaves, twigs, feathers etc. First head out and collect lots of different twigs, feathers and anything else you think would make a good paint brush.Use sticky tape to attach your leaves/feathers etc to your twigsUse your paintbrushes to make different patterns with your paint.Lets Get Making!

Dance Painting

Next up is a ‘Shake It!’ activity and making the most of the nice weather, we are doing dance painting. This is perfect for the warm weather as can be fairly messy so best if you strip the kids down to their undies let them dance away in the paint and they wash them in the paddling pool before allowing them to enter back in the house! Our dance painting piece de la resistance!For dance painting you will need:Various coloured paintsa large roll of paper (lining wall paper is perfectsome of your favourite tunes to dance toa bucket of water / paddling pool to wash off once finished This is really easy to set up too:Roll the paper out on the grassdollop different colours of paint on the paperturn on and turn up your favourite tunes and dance!keep adding more paint and dancing until you have finished.We had great fun dancing in the garden to the Frozen, Trolls and Moana soundtracks, what will you listen too?Let’s get Shaking!
